Thredbo accommodation is situated in Thredbo Village at the base of the ski slopes. During the winter months, it is usually possible to drive straight to Thredbo and walk directly to your accommodation from the car park. Sometimes, when the snow is particularly deep, chains will be required.
Located in the Kosciuzko National Park, Thredbo is just a 2 and a half hour drive south of Canberra, and if you are travelling from Sydney,y it is only 6 hours. Simply make your way to Jindabyne, the gateway to the mountains, and from here you are just 30 minutes away from your destination. Thredbo has some of Australia’s longest ski runs available, and with the village based directly on the ski slope, you have the advantage of the trueski-inn and ski-out experience. The main chair lift onto the slopes is situated in Thredbo Village at the bottom of the ski slopes. In good seasons, you can ski from the mountain top directly to your accommodation.
