Tweed Heads is served by Gold Coast Airport, which straddles the state border and is partly in Tweed Heads West. Bus services are mostly run by Kinetic Gold Coast for Transport for NSW, and Translink buses connect to the Gold Coast railway line at Varsity Lakes and the G:link tram at Broadbeach South. Greyhound Australia, NSW TrainLink and Premier Motor Service coaches link the town with Brisbane, Casino and Sydney.
