Perisher Valley, located in the heart of the Snowy Mountains is easy to access by road, air, and coach. Most people travel to the region by car as this is the most flexible and rewarding way of exploring the mountains. Perisher Blue is an easy 5-and-a-half to 6-hour drive from Sydney via Canberra and Cooma or 6 a half to 7-hour drive from Melbourne.

The Kosciusko Road from Jindabyne provides access to Perisher, Smiggins, and Guthega and from Jindabyne, it is only 33km or an easy 30-minute drive to your destination in easy conditions. There will be fees for vehicles using the Kosciusko National Park and you can find entry stations on three of the main roads entering the park.

However for visitors traveling from afar, there are regular bus services to Cooma and Tumut, and daily plane services into Canberra with car hire available. The Snowy Mountains is well served by a network of sealed roads boasting diverse and spectacular scenery. If you decide to go by air all the major airlines fly into Canberra and then from here you catch a flight to Cooma. Daily bus services frequent Cooma which will take you to Perisher Valley and right to the doorstep of your place of accommodation.
