Taronga Zoo

The Zoological Parks Board of New South Wales operates Taronga and Western Plains Zoo. It is a statutory authority owned by the people of New South Wales, within the administration of the Minister for the Environment. Taronga Zoo has been a leader in wildlife conservation and research for over 90 years

With over 2000 animals from 400 species/subspecies Taronga Zoo is nestled on the shores of the world's most beautiful harbour. At Mosman the zoo is only 12 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay. Taronga Zoo is also accessible by bus and car.

They have their very own cable car that operates between the Zoo wharf and the Top Entrance from 9.30am to 5.00pm daily. Enjoy a ride high above the zoo and harbour, you can travel in either direction for fast easy access to the zoo and wharf. The Sky Safari will definitely be a memorable part of your zoo visit.
