There is so much snow accommodation in Perisher Valley for everyone’s tastes and budget, ranging from your low cost on snow accommodation right up to your superior accommodation. Perisher Valley, Bluecow, Guthega and Smiggin Holes form the Perisher Blue Ski Resort. The Perisher Village is located 1680m above sea level with the resort's highest ski lifted point at 2034m. The four resort areas of Perisher Blue are connected by the Skitube, ski trails and chairlifts. Altogether it has a total of more than 50 lifts, a downhill skiable area of over 1250 hectares and 104km of cross country trails. But if you would rather base yourself somewhere else like Jindabyne, Thredbo, Mount Selwyn, Mount Hotham, Falls Creek, Mount Buller or Mount Buffalo you can easily do this as the underground Skitube runs daily to all the surrounding ski slopes.

If you want to be close to all the action of the snow but don't really want to pay snow prices then this is the place for you. Offering two bars, a bistro, games room for the kids, school holiday entertainment, gift shop and so much more then you must stay here. Once you get to Ski Rider you can catch the free shuttle bus to Perisher up to 9 times a day making access to the slopes so easy for everyone. But if skiing is the only thing that you are looking for then stay at the Smiggin Hotel where you can ski in and ski out of this every popular hotel.

Ski lifts are just a snowballs throw away, snap your skies on and go when you stay at this modern resort with all the comforts of home. Perisher Valley, located in the heart of the Snowy Mountains are easy to access by road, air and coach. Most people travel to the region by car as this is the most flexible and rewarding way of exploring the mountains. Perisher Blue is an easy 5 and a half to 6 hour drive from Sydney via Canberra and Cooma or 6 and a half to 7 hour drive from Melbourne. The Kosciusko Road from Jindabyne provides access to Perisher, Smiggins and Guthega and from Jindabyne it is only 33km or an easy 30 minute drive to your destination in easy conditions. There will be fees for vehicles using the Kosciusko National Park and you can find entry stations on three of the mains roads entering the park. However for visitors travelling from afar, there are regular bus services to Cooma and Tumut, and daily plane services into Canberra with car hire available. The Snowy Mountains is well served by a network of sealed roads boasting diverse and spectacular scenery. If you decide to go by air all the major airlines fly into Canberra and then from here you catch a flight to Cooma. Daily bus services frequent Cooma which will take you to Perisher Valley and right to the doorstep of your place of accommodation.
