After a hard day of skiing sit by their open log fire and relax in the lounge. You will only be 20m from the Skitube and just 200m from the Front Valley Lifts. But if you want to be centrally located then you should most definitely check out the Matterhorn Lodge which is nestled in the heart of beautiful Perisher Valley. Positioned only 300m from the Perisher Skitube Terminal you are only minutes from the best snow skiing Australia has to offer. After a hard day, skiing comes back to a cozy atmosphere, where the staff is warm and friendly and you can enjoy a relaxing beverage by the open log fire and just sit around with friends in the cocktail bar. Only 11km from the Perisher Blue Ski Resort you will find The Ski Rider Hotel located in Wilson’s Valley. This is the largest hotel in the Kosciusko National Park offering two bars, a bistro, a games room for the kids, a school holiday entertainment, a gift shop and so much more. There is also a free shuttle bus that runs up to 9 times a day, on offer for all its guests, making it so easy to access all the nearby slopes. But if there is only one thing on your mind and that’s skiing then the Smiggin Hotel is just for you.

The ski lifts are just a snowball’s throw away so snap on your skies and away you go and then come back to the hotel where you can relax and have all the comforts of home. The hotel is complete with a shopping arcade, ski school, restaurant, log fires, guest lounge, cocktail bar to meet up with friends in, plus a sauna and massage to rest your weary bones. And just across the way, you will find the Smiggins Apartments, perfect for the whole family. It is very easy to get to Perisher Valley, you can either travel by air, bus, or car. All the major airlines frequent the Canberra Airport where you can catch a connecting flight to Cooma Airport and simply jump on a shuttle bus, Snowy Mountains Express Shuttle, and it will take you to your accommodation. If you chose to travel by bus there are regular bus services to Cooma and Tumut from anywhere in Australia. But if you want to take everything in your own stride then you can simply hire your own car if you don’t already have one from any car hire business, and take in the beauty of the Kosciusko National Park while you travel through the mountains. Perisher Blue is an easy 5-and-a-half to 6-hour drive from Sydney via Canberra and Cooma or a 6-and-a-half to 7-hour drive from Melbourne. Just make your way to Jindabyne and from here you are only 33km to either Smiggins, Guthega, or Perisher. There will be fees for vehicles using the Kosciusko National Park and you can find entry stations on three of the main roads entering the park.

Perisher Blue is located just a short drive from Canberra, at approximately 2 and a half hours and a 6-hour drive from Sydney. If you are going to self-drive, you will have to make your way to Jindabyne and it is only about 33km from here until you arrive at Perisher Blue. All of the major airlines services that Canberra Airport you want to fly, but you can also fly into the Cooma Airport and jump on the Express Shuttle bus which is only a short 1-hour trip to your accommodation at Perisher Blue.
