Leura is situated around one and a half hours drive from Sydney and although it is very close to Katoomba it provides a nice quiet alternative with its award winning restaurants, shopping mall, Everglades Gardens and Leura cascades and picnic area. The Festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year and donates a great deal of money to charity. Everglades’s gardens are operated by the national trust and are an inexpensive view of nature at its finest. Superbly kept and maintained it is a wonderful attraction for the garden city. With spectacular views across valleys, mountains and forests, many people never make it past Leura once they stop. It is close to Katoomba and joined by the scenic drive which provides you with views and memories from the convenience of your car.
